ISLAMABAD, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan Caretaker Foreign Minister Inaam-ul-Haq had gone to Senegal to attend the upcoming Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) summit, said the ministry spokesman Mohammad Sadiq on Tuesday.
Sadiq told Xinhua that Inaam-ul-Haq went to attend the 11th OIC summit, due on March 13-14 in Senegal's capital Dakar, on behalf of Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf.
Musharraf on Tuesday has summoned the parliament session, at which the parliament speaker and prime minister will be elected.
Pakistan general elections were held on Feb. 18. Pakistan's two major parties, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), signed a joint declaration on the formation of new government Sunday.
