    BEIJING, March 7 (Xinhua) -- China condemned the shooting at a Jewish rabbinical seminary in west Jerusalem on Friday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said.

    "China condemns this violent incident targeting at the civilians," said Qin in a Foreign Ministry press release.

    He called upon the relevant sides to practice restraint and avoid taking any action to deteriorate the regional situation.

    At least eight Israeli students were killed and nine injured in a gun battle in Merkaz Harav yeshiva in the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood in Jerusalem on Thursday.

TV: New group responsible for attack in Israel

    BEIRUT, March 6 (Xinhua) -- A new group called the Martyrs of Imad Moughniyah and Gaza participated in the armed attack carried out in Jerusalem on Thursday, leaving at least eight people killed and 35 others wounded, Hezbollah's Al Manar TV reported.

    This group is unknown previously, said the report.  Full story 

U.S. condemns deadly shooting attack in Israel

    WASHINGTON, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The United States condemned Thursday's deadly shooting attack in a religious school in Jerusalem that left at least eight people killed.

    "We condemn this act of terror and extend our condolences to the victims and their families," the State Department said in a statement.  Full story

Gazans celebrate deadly attack in Jerusalem

    GAZA, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian militant groups, mainly Hamas movement celebrated on Thursday evening the armed attack carried out in Jerusalem, where at least six Israelis were killed and other 35 wounded.

    Militants fired in the air, and threw sound bombs in the streets, while drivers pressed on their cars horns. Other Palestinians delivered candies and sweets in the streets in celebration.  Full story
