¡¡SOFIA, March 4 (Xinhua) -- The Bulgarian Skating Federation (BSF) will make decision at the next meeting that Bulgaria will bid to host the the European Figure Skating Championship (men and women) in 2011.
It was announced by Albena Denkova, Chairperson of BSF and two times world ice dance champion with her partner Maxim Staviski at a news conference Tuesday.
Denkova said that By the end of the year it will be known whether Bulgaria will be given the right to organize the Championship.
She said that in the 1990s Bulgaria hosted European Championships twice, hoping that if Bulgaria's bid is approved, Sofia will have a new skating facility by 2011, because the lack of adequate facilities is dooming the sport.
Denkova also told the reporters that she is satisfied with the organization of the International Skating Union (ISU) World Junior Figure Skating Championships held in Sofia in February 26 to March2.
Denkova said that all skaters and guests assured her they had agood time in Sofia.
