BEIJING, March 4 -- Music drama "The Five Heartbeats"
has topped a list naming the best urban movies of all time.
The 1991 film, which was written and produced by its
star Robert Townsend, follows the rise and fall of a 1960s African-American
vocal group.
At two on the AOL Black Voices Web site list is "A
Soldier's Story," followed by Steven Spielberg's "The Color Purple," which
starred Whoopi Goldberg, Danny Glover and Oprah Winfrey.
