GAZA, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Leaders of Islamic
Resistance Movement (Hamas) and Jihad movement in Gaza vowed revenge on Saturday
after eight Palestinians were killed and 40 wounded in a mysterious explosion
Friday night in central Gaza Strip.
Although Israel has denied responsibility for
bombarding a house of a senior Islamic Jihad militant in central Gaza Strip,
killing him along with his wife, daughter and five others, Hamas and Jihad
accused Israel for the incident.
"We condemn the Israeli crime perpetrated against
al-Bureij refugee camp," Sami Abu Zuhri, Hamas spokesman said. "Israel bears
full responsibility and will also suffer the consequences."
Abu Ahmed Spokesman of Islamic Jihad (Holy War) armed
wing al-Quds Brigades said "the enemy is trying to deny responsibility for this
crime, but it alone is responsible and all of its denials will change nothing."
An Israeli army spokesman said the explosion was an
accident, and the Israeli army has not involved in any aerial attack on the
house in al-Bureij refugee camp. However, Palestinian witnesses said they saw an
Israeli F16 warplane hit the house.
