BEIJING, Feb. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Andrei Bogdanov, Chairman of the Russian Democratic Party, was born in Moscow in 1970.
In 1993, he graduated from Plekhanov Economic Insitute.
In 2002, he received a Ph.D. in political science from Moscow University.
In 2002-2003, he was an official with the ruling Unified Russia Party.
Bogdanov became head of the Democratic Party in 2005 after a leadership battle against Mikhail Kasyanov, a former prime minister.
In January, 2008, the state-run VTsIOM opinion center forecast Bogdanov will receive 1 percent of the vote in the March 2 elections. And 84 percent of respondents said they don't know Bogdanov much.
