BEIJING, Jan. 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Pop star Britney
Spears did not change her conditions in child-custody case after a hearing held
on Wednesday, according to media reports.
The pop star did not show up in the courthouse though
she arrived at the court building. After the security screening, she
suddenly said she wanted to leave and was driven away, Superior Court
spokesman Allan Parachini said.
Though Spears was not ordered to appear in court on
Wednesday, the hearing had been held at her request, which made it "an unusual
situation" that she didn't show, Parachini said.
As a result, LA Superior Court Commissioner Scott
Gordon did not make any changes to the current visitation and custody rules.
It was the second time this month that Spears pulled
a disappearing act at the courthouse in her custody battle with her ex-husband.
On Jan. 3, Spears refused to return the boys to her
ex-husband Kevin Federline at her home. Later there was a standoff, and Spears
was sent to hospital in an ambulance.
On Jan. 4, Federline was awarded sole legal and
physical custody of their two boys and Spears' visitation rights were suspended.
The next hearing is set for Feb. 4, at which time
Spears' attorneys will ask permission to withdraw from the case. A hearing on
custody is set for Feb. 19.
A custody trial is set for April. Federline's
attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, noted outside court that the commissioner has
ordered a custody evaluator to report back to him before the trial.
