MELBOURNE, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- World No. 1 Justine
Henin made a successful return to the Australian Open when the Belgian eased
past Japanese Aiko Nakamura 6-2, 6-2 here on Monday.
The top seed, missing the Grand Slam event last year
for separating with her husband, clinched the win in 70 minutes on Rod Laver
Arena as she extended her winning streak to 29 following her Sydney victory on
Friday.
Henin breezed past the first set but was broke by the
world No.73 at the beginning of the second set and trailed at 2-0.
Henin refused to give Aiko any more chance and fought
back to win her second meeting with the 24-year-old Japanese.
Henin will next take one Russian Olga Poutch kova who
beat Australian Monique Adamczak 6-4,6-0.
