HAVANA, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Cuba received 2.15 million foreign tourists and earned some 2.38 million U.S. dollars in tourism revenue in 2007, according to the country's official statistics published Saturday.
The Cuban statistics bureau said both figures dropped slightly from the previous year.
Hotel occupancy also declined mildly, down to 45.7 percent in 2007 from 46.6 percent in 2006.
2007 was the fourth consecutive year in which Cuba received over 2 million foreign tourists. The previous records were 2.05 million in 2004, 2.32 million in 2005 and 2.22 million in 2006.
