NATO soldier killed, 1 injured in mine blast in Afghanistan

    KABUL, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- One soldier of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was killed and another one was injured when their vehicle was involved in a mine strike in southern Afghanistan, said an ISAF statement received here on Thursday.

    The incident took place on Wednesday, it said, giving no more details.

    ISAF did not release the casualty's nationality.

    Over 41,000 multi-national force under the flag of NATO-led ISAF is deployed in Afghanistan, assisting in Afghan government's anti-militants and reconstruction efforts. ¡¡
