 Special Report: The sixth round of six-party talks  

    PYONGYANG, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Kim Jong-il, top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) made a visit to the construction site of the Ryesonggang Power Station, the official leading newspaper Rodong Sinmun reported on Monday.

    "He extended warm greetings to the builders and their helpers...and set forth tasks to be implemented to speed up the building of the power station", the report said.

    It's the first public visit of the DPRK's top leader being reported by local media in the year of 2008.
