HELSINKI, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Former NBA star Scottie Pippen Saturday scored nine points to help Finland basketball league leader Torpan Pojat beat Honka 98-85 in his second game at Vantaa, a city of southern Finland, local media reported Sunday.

"It was great, I did not know what to anticipate without a game for the last three years," the 42-year-old Pippen said.

"My conditioning is not at the top level but I played with a great team and had a lot of fun," he added.

Pippen, who arrived in Finland on Friday, played two games organized by Finnish basketball league. He scored 12 points in his first game on Friday, when he played for ToPo against Tarmo of Porvoo 93-81.

Pippen hoped the game could inspire more Finnish young persons to play basketball.
