KATHMANDU, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- A visiting Chinese delegation of the China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture participated in an interaction program held at Tribhuvan University on Thursday.
During the interaction program, Tenzin Ganpo, deputy
director general of the China Tibetology Research Center, delivered a key note
speech on various aspects of preservation and development of the Tibetan
culture.
Also speaking on the occasion were Vice Chancellor of
the Tribhuvan University Madhav Sharma and President of the Arniko Society
Harish Chandra Shah.
Vice Chancellor Sharma expressed the view that Nepal
should learn a lot from Tibet to achieve economic prosperity and to preserve
cultural heritage.
The Chinese Tibetologists delegation also
offered various assistance including laptop computers and books to Tribhuvan
University during the program.
