BEIJING, Dec. 13 -- Hollywood legend Shirley MacLaine has accused Lindsay Lohan of being addicted to fame.

The 73-year-old star said a lack of parenting in Lohan's life is what had caused her problems which include a DUI charge and going to rehab.

"She has her problems. I don't know what's going on, maybe lack of parenting skills and no boundaries," the Mirror quoted MacLaine as saying.

The legendary actress also revealed Lohan's latest film "Poor Things" was delayed due to her rehab schedule.

"I think the addiction to fame is a disease.

"Some of these girls are addicted to having their picture in magazines," she added.

The Terms of Endearment star, who is strongly against drugs, also revealed that she had once mistakenly put thousands of pounds of cocaine in her tea at a Hollywood party.

Lohan recently broke up with her boyfriend Riley Giles. She is said to have been spotted kissing a "mystery man."
