    BEIJING, Dec. 1 -- Hollywood-bound Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi traveled to Chengdu in southwestern China on Monday to inaugurate a local charity program.

    The fundraising scheme, created to assist local orphaned children, was jointly launched by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and its charity partner - the Beijing-based "Care for Children," when Shangri-La opened a new hotel in Chengdu on Monday.

    Zhang Ziyi, the "public face" of Shangri-La, also visited an orphaned child and his adoptive family.
