The Confucius Temple and the Imperial Academy, both on the list of main cultural relics under the state protection, are over 700 years old. A sweeping restoration to the two landmarks is close to be completed with an investment of 70 million yuan (about 9 million USD). They will open to tourists in the first half of next year.
