GAZA, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- A home-made rocket was fired at southern Israeli
city of Sderot Saturday morning from Gaza Strip and the military wing of
President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement claimed responsibility for it.
The militant group Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades said in a statement sent to the
press that their fighters could fire the missile from northern Gaza Strip and
could return unharmed.
The rocket attack was part of "the right of response to the Zionist
occupation's crimes and to continue the Jihad (holy war) and resistance with
every mean."
Meanwhile, the armed wing of Islamic Hamas movement said it had targeted an
Israeli undercover force unit with three bombs in southeastern Gaza Strip.
Vowing to continue fighting against the Israelis, Hamas said the operation
was meant to respond to the daily Israeli army incursions in various places in
the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
