BEIJING, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- Liu Qi, member of the
Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, held
talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Le Thanh Hai Monday, vowing to promote
relations between the two parties and two countries.
Liu, who is also secretary of the CPC Beijing
Municipal Committee, said it is conducive to mutual understanding and deepening
friendship to maintain long-term relationship of good exchanges and cooperation
between the CPC and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).
He said he believed Le Thanh Hai's visit will promote
the exchanges between the two sides and push forward the lasting, steady and
healthy development of China-Vietnam neighborly relationship of comprehensive
cooperation.
Liu also briefed the Vietnamese guests on Beijing's
work on implementing the guidelines of the 17th national congress of the CPC,
held in mid October.
Le Thanh Hai, who is member of the Political Bureau
of the CPV Central Committee and secretary of the CPV Ho Chi Minh City
Committee, said the important achievements of the CPC's 17th national congress
will guide China's continuous cause of seeking more comprehensive development,
from which Vietnam 's reform cause can also benefit.
He said the Vietnamese side is ready to make joint
efforts with the Chinese side to implement the guidelines proposed by the top
leaders of both countries, and to realize the good wish of forever good
neighbors, good friends, good comrades and good partners.
