BEIJING, Nov. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- Recently rehabed starlet Lindsay Lohan spent 1 hour and 24 minutes at Los Angeles County's Lynwood Jail for a drunken driving and cocaine-possession conviction, said Los Angeles police as quoted by media reports Friday.

The actress became the latest celebrity to serve less than a day for a drunken driving offense, following the steps of pregnant actress Nicole Richie and socialite Paris Hilton.

Lohan, 21, presented herself at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the jail. She was searched, fingerprinted and placed in a holding cell in the inmate reception area. The troubled girl was released at 11:54 a.m.

"She was cooperative," said sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.

Asked if the "Mean Girls" star received any special treatment, the spokesman said it was not the case.

"Absolutely not. This is what we do for most everybody in this position," Whitmore said. In fact, 30 to 50 women are granted early releases from the facility every day because of overcrowding, he added.

Lohan had been sentenced in August to one day in jail after admitting guilt to drink and drug charges and was told by the court to serve her time before January.

The charges stemmed from a July car chase and an arrest in May after she wrecked her car in Beverly Hills. After her July arrest, Lohan checked into a rehabilitation center in Utah and spent more than two months there.

Lohan was also sentenced to 10 days of community service, three years probation and 18 months of an alcohol-education program.
