BANGKOK, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's National Counter Corruption Commission on Thursday released details of assets declarations of ministers under former Thaksin Shinawatra regime.
According to the declarations published by local media, Thaksin, the former premier who was ousted after a military coup last year, reportedly has assets of 614 million baht (18.6 million U.S. dollars), which is 57 million baht (1.73 million dollars) more comparing to a year before.
His wife Potjaman has assets of 8.6 billion baht (260.6 million dollars) , which is 247 million baht (7.48 million dollars) less comparing to last year. The couple have assets of about 9 billion baht (272.7 million dollars) altogether.
Of all the ministers, former foreign minister Kantathi Suphamongkhon is the richest -- with assets of more than 4.5 billion baht (136.4 million dollars), which is 100 million baht (3 million dollars) higher than the previous year. His wife Sophawan has assets of 36 million baht (1.1 million dollars).
The poorest minister is former public health minister Phinij Jarusombat. He has assets of 28 million baht (84,848 dollars) but debts of more than 100 billion baht (3.03 billion dollars).
