RAMADI, Iraq, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi security forces discovered a new
mass grave contained seven bodies in execution-style in Anbar province, a
provincial police source said on Thursday.
The bodies, blindfolded and handcuffed, were found in the Lake Tharthar
area east of Ramadi, some 100 km northwest of Baghdad, during a joint U.S. and
Iraqi operation against the al-Qaida fighters in the area, the source told
Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
Two more mass graves were also discovered in the area, but the security
forces did not excavate them yet, the source said.
On Tuesday, the Iraqi security forces announced they discoveredthe remains
of 22 bodies buried in a mass grave in the area.
The area, where the mass graves were found, has long been undercontrol by
the al-Qaida terrorist network, the source said, adding that the security forces
believe the victims were previously kidnapped and killed by the al-Qaida
fighters.

BAGHDAD, Nov. 7
(Xinhua) -- Iraqi troops have discovered the remains of some 17 bodies dumped in
an area in the volatile province of Diyala, a source from provincial .S. and
Iraq liaison office said on Wednesday.
The severely decomposed corpses were found on Tuesday
night in a small river near the village of Hashimiyat, west of Baquba, the
capital of Diyala province, the source from the provincial Joint Coordination
Center, told Xinhua on condition of anonymity. Full story
