He, 20, silver medalist in the National Championships last year in Nanjing, combined lifts of 163kg in the snatch with 200kg in the clean and jerk to finish with 363kg.

"363kg is just so so," said He. "My personal best is 368kg in total, 165kg in the snatch and 203kg in the jerk."

"I am not satisfied with the result," added the 20-year-old.

The world record of the event is 395kg, and the winning result of the World Championships this year in Chiang Mai is 393kg, which are all far more than He's 363kg.

"We can not compare with foreign countries in this category," said He.

China's best result in the 85kg class is 372.5kg, fifth in Athens Olympics, made by Yuan Aijun, while the champion lifted 382.5kg.

"Our training methods are on the first level, but our physical qualities are weaker than them," said the 20-year-old.

"I still expect to take part in the Olympics next year," added He.

He took a slight advantage in the snatch as he lifted 163kg, 1kg more than Fan Boxiang, the bronze medalist of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

Fan wanted to surpass He and asked for 165kg in his last attempt in the snatch, but failed.

Pan Chengwang, representing Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province took the silver at 345kg.

Pan asked for 201kg in his last attempt in the jerk, 1kg more than He's 200kg, but failed.

"I knew that I could not surpass He," said Pan. "I challenged 201kg because I wanted to improve my personal best."
