BEIJING, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- More
leaders of foreign nations, political parties and organizations have continued
to send congratulatory messages to Hu Jintao over his reelection as general
secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Japanese Prime Minister and President of the Liberal
Democratic Party Yasuo Fukuda expressed his warm congratulations to Hu for his
reelection and the successful conclusion of the 17th CPC National Congress.
Noting the Japan-China relationship is one of the
most important bilateral ties for both Japan and China, Fukuda said in his
message that he is willing to boost his communications with Hu and other Chinese
leaders and to effectively push ahead the concrete cooperation between the two
countries for building a strategic reciprocal relationship.
Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev said he is glad to
see the great development and progress China has made under the CPC's reform and
opening-up policy.
He also said the Chinese-Kyrgyz relations have
reached a fairly high level and expressed his hope that the bilateral ties would
continue to advance.
President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed of the Transitional
Federal Republic of Somalia conveyed his friendly greetings to the 17th CPC
National Congress.
He said he is confident that the CPC congress will
work out new strategies for China's development and the traditional friendship
between China and Somali will be further strengthened.
Bangladeshi President Iajuddin Ahmed, in his message,
said the CPC has made an outstanding contribution to improving the lives of the
Chinese people and promoting peace and harmony in Asia and the world at large.
The president also expressed his belief that the
friendship and close cooperation between the two countries will be boosted in
the future.
President of Cote d'Ivoire Laurent Gbagbo, in his
message, expressed his warm congratulations to Hu on his reelection as the CPC
leader, saying during Hu's last term China achieved remarkable accomplishments
in the economic, social and cultural fields.
He reiterated his willingness to further strengthen
the economic and political ties between the two countries to serve the two
peoples' well-being.
Togolese President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe said he
believes that Hu's reelection will put China into a more advantageous position
among the world's strong and prosperous countries.
The president also said he is willing to join hands
with Hu in the endeavor to deepen the friendly relations of cooperation between
the two parties and the two countries for the benefit of the two peoples.
In his message, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of
Brunei congratulated Hu on his reelection as the CPC leader, saying he looked
forward to continuing the joint efforts with Hu to enhance the friendship and
close cooperation enjoyed by the two countries, "both bilaterally and as
partners in the Asia-Pacific region."
Demetris Christofias, president of the House of
Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, also sent a message to Hu, offered
his felicitation on Hu's reelection the CPC general secretary.
Christofias expressed his confidence that Hu will
"lead China towards greater progress and prosperity."
China and Cyprus have "forged a long tradition of
friendly relations and cooperation," he said, renewing his "commitment to
endeavor towards further strengthening relations and cooperation between the two
countries at all levels."
