WUHAN, Central China, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Wu Peng
clinched the gold in the men's 200 meters butterfly race at the Chinese City
Games here on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old Melbourne World Championships runner-up led throughout to clock one minute 57.32 seconds.

Ding Peng from Yantai, Shandong province, took the
silver in 1:59.80 seconds.
The bronze was taken by Zhao Yang from Zibo, Shandong
Province, who timed 2:00.35.
The butterfly specialist clinched a silver at this
year's World Championships in 1:55.13 seconds, 3.04 seconds behind American
wunderkind Michael Phelps.
Wu's personal best in the men's 200 meters butterfly
was 1:54.91 made in Asian Games.
Wu also takes part in other five events in the
Chinese City Games, including men's 100 meters butterfly, men's 200 meters
medley, men's 4x200 meters free relay, men's 4x100 meters free relay and men's
4x100 meters medley relay.
