GAZA, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) - The armed wing of Islamic Jihad (Holy War) movement claimed responsibility on Monday for launching seven homemade rockets from northern Gaza Strip at Israel.
The group said in a statement that its militants fired seven rockets from northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun at southern Israeli communities, adding "it was a response to the daily Israeli crimes committed against the Palestinians."
Israeli Radio quoted Israeli army officials as saying that several homemade projectiles were fired from Gaza at Israel causing no damages or injuries.
Meanwhile, Palestinian witnesses said that an Israeli aircrafts truck on Monday a homemade rockets' launcher was erected and ready to be used in northern Gaza Strip, adding "there were no injuries."
Early on Monday, four Hamas militants were injuries, two critically, when the Israeli artillery fired two missiles at northern Gaza Strip, medics and witnesses said.
Israel is imposing a tightened closure of the poor and densely populated enclave of Gaza, and considered it as a hostile entity after militants escalated their rockets' attacks from Gaza at Israel.
