HYDERABAD, India, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese men's volleyball team won the gold after thrusting South Korea 3-0 in the final at the 4th Military World Games here on Saturday.

The South Koreans who looked better in previous matches could not raise level in the crucial match against their Asian rivals.

The unstoppable Chinese spikers met some challenge in the first set when South Koreans leveled 23-23, but prevailed 26-24 with some aggressive attacking.

The match then turned into one-sided affair with the South Koreans totally lost their morale after China took the second set with a clear advantage of 25-15.

The Chinese team finally won the third set 25-20 to clinch the title without too much of a fight.

Host India bagged the bronze by defeating Qatar 3-0, while Brazil placed 5th after a neck to neck 3-2 win over Netherland.
