BEIJING, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition opened its door to the public on
Saturday at the Military Museum of Chinese People's Revolution in Beijing to
illustrate the ups and downs of China on the road of national revival since
1840.
The exhibition, titled with Road of Revival, showed important historical
events that Chinese people have experienced since 1840, when China was forced to
open its door to foreign powers after the defeat in the Opium War.
It focuses on a heroic course of all Chinese, the Han nationality and
minorities, to fight for their freedom, liberation and the country's revival
with the guidance by the Communist Partyof China (CPC).
Decorated with thousands of pictures, historical archives, relics and
models, the exhibition was divided into five chapters in time sequence,
underlining that only the CPC and socialism withChinese character could lead
Chinese to the road of revival.
The exhibition, sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central
Committee, will be open to the public for about two months.
