Palestine
RAMALLAH, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Three Palestinians were injured on Wednesday
by Israeli troops' gunfire in northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, witnesses and
hospital officials said.
Witnesses said dozens of Israeli armored vehicles, personnel carries and
jeeps stormed the city from different directions amid intensive gunfire.
Dozens of young men confronted the Israeli army forces by stones and the
soldiers dispersed them with live ammunition, "wounding three young men,"
according to residents. Medics said the three were in moderate conditions.
In addition, the Israeli soldiers detained at least 10 peoples during their
operation in Qalqilia which the Israeli Radio said is to look for wanted
militants.
Early on Wednesday, Israeli army forces arrested 15 Palestinians, including
a city hall council member in the West Bank, Israeli and Palestinian sources
said.
Witnesses in the city of Bethlehem said Wednesday that an Israeli army
force stormed the house of Yousef al-Natsheh, member of Bethlehem municipal
council who is pro-Hamas.
Also, the Israeli army raided several houses in the West Bank city of
Nablus and detained five people, said Palestinian security
sources.
