Sand sculptures of Olympic history -- from Athens to Beijing

The Olympics Sand Sculpture Park, with the theme of "History of the Olympics - From Athens to Beijing", was opened to the public Sept. 29, 2007. The park was the result of the 9th Zhoushan International Sand Sculpture Festival starting on Sept. 19. More than 30 sculptors from 10 countries and regions attended the festival with their more than 50 sand sculptures featuring historical events and figures of the Olympics, including ancient Athens Olympic Games, all previous modern Olympic Games and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
