Botswana, located in the heart of southern Africa, is worldwide famous for its natural beauty, wildlife and cultural diversity. Tourism has shown a steady increase over the past few years, receiving more than 1 million tourists a year, with holiday arrivals rising by 10 percent annually. Tourism is also the second largest export sector in Botswana after diamonds and provides employment for nearly 10,000 people. Some 17 percent of land has been set aside for national parks and game reserves while a further 21 percent of surrounding these areas is designated for wildlife management. (Xinhua Photo)
