BEIJING, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- The first World Mind Sports Games will be held in Beijing on Oct. 3-18, the International Mind Sports Association (IMSA) announced here on Wednesday.
Twenty five to thirty gold medals will be vied in five mind sports, namely Bridge, Chess, Go, Draughts and Chinese Chess during the tournament, according to Jose Damiani, president of the IMSA and the World Bridge Federation.
"The specific events will be discussed and decided later," Damiani told a press conference on Wednesday.
It is estimated that more than 2,000 players from over 150 countries and regions will take part in the Games.
