BEIJING, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Senior official of the Communist Party of
China (CPC) Wu Guanzheng met here Wednesday with a Rwandese Patriotic Front
(RPF) delegation headed by its general secretary Francois Ngarambe.
Wu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC
Central Committee, hailed the rapid growth of the bilateral relations in recent
years, noting that China regards Rwanda as an important partner in Africa and
will make joint efforts with the Rwandese side to boost bilateral relations.
Wu also highlighted that the relations between the CPC and RPF are a very
important part of the national relations, vowing that the CPC would continue to
make efforts to cement the exchanges and cooperation between the two parties.
Echoing Wu's views on the relations between the two nations as well as the
two parties, Ngarambe said that the RPF values its ties with the CPC and
appreciates China's policies towards Africa.
The further development of the bilateral relations serves the fundamental
interests of the two peoples and Rwanda will make efforts to push forward the
bilateral friendly exchanges and cooperation to a higher level, Ngarambe said.
He also said that the RPF will continue to adhere to the one-China policy.
