BEIJING, Sept. 18 (Xinhuanet) -- Pop singer Britney Spears was allegedly banned from LA's exclusive Chateau Marmont hotel after a string of complaints about her "odd" behavior, according to media reports Tuesday.

The Sun newspaper in UK reported that Spears' behaviour turned bizarre during her meal as she smeared a plate of top-notch food over her face at the exclusive Chateau Marmont.

The diners were so shocked and outraged by Spears' antics, that they demanded management show the singer the door.

"The diners were disgusted. You wouldn't expect that from a teenager in a fast-food joint. Royalty have dined in this restaurant. Her behaviour was totally unacceptable," The Sun quoted a source as saying.

In another development, Spears could lose custody of her children this week.

It has been claimed that a "secret" witness will be brought to court to cast doubt on the troubled singer's credibility as a mother.

Spears, whose comeback at the MTV Awards last week was widely seen as a disaster, is fighting ex-husband Kevin Federline for custody of their two children, Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, 11 months.
