MANAGUA, Sept. 15 (Xinhua)-- Honduras was shaken Saturday by a moderate earthquake that can be felt in almost all the country, according to reports reaching here from Tegucigalpa, capital of this Central American country.
There were no immediate reports on the casualties, but the authorities said the earthquake damaged some buildings and caused some panic, said the Honduran authorities.
The tremor, measured 5.5 on the Richter scale, was centered some 90 km north of Tegucigalpa, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
