Earthquake hits Talaud, Indonesia

    HONG KONG, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale hit off the coast of Talaud Islands, Indonesia, at 0955 GMT Thursday, the Hong Kong Observatory reported.

    The epicenter was initially determined to be 3.8 degrees north and 126.4 degrees east, about 310 kilometers north-northeast of Manado, Indonesia.
