MEXICO CITY, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Six explosive
attacks against gas ducts on early Monday in Mexican eastern Veracruz state
forced the dislodging of 16,000 people in local communities, Mexican state Oil
enterprise Pemex stated in a communique.
The gas ducts attacked are located in La Antigua, Omealca, Minatitlan and Actopan.

In July, many gas ducts were blown up in central
Mexican Queretaro and Guanajuato by attacks claimed by the Revolutionary Popular
Army guerrilla group, but some Mexican politicians blamed the attacks on the
conservative government.
At least 6,000 people were dislodged from their homes
on Monday at La Antigua locality, after the explosion of one of the gas ducts,
police officials reported.
After the attacks, officials also stopped transit in
main Veracruz state highways, including Xalapa-Veracruz, Cordoba-Mexico City and
Minatitlan-Coatzacoalcos.
