HANOI, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Laos, Vietnam and Thailand will allow their trucks to freely travel across the three countries, aiming to boost their trade.

Under an agreement recently reached by transport ministers of Laos, Vietnam and Thailand, trucks of a country will be allowed to enter the territory of two others, Lao newspaper Vientiane Times reported Wednesday.

However, Thailand and Vietnam have agreed that their trucks when transiting Laos will not provide services to local traders to help Lao transport companies avoid strong competition.

Vietnam did not allow Thai trucks to cross its border and vice versa, while Lao vehicles could run to both neighboring countries.
