    HANGZHOU, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Sixteen people were confirmed dead Friday as their bus plunged into a reservoir after colliding with a truck in east China.

    Divers retrieved five bodies from a reservoir in Zhejiang Province on Friday afternoon. The five bodies included four adults and a girl, while the other 11 bodies have been retrieved and sent to a funeral parlor in the morning. Seven people were rescued from the water.

    Rescuers wrapped up the searching operation Friday afternoon since all the 23 people aboard the bus had been found, according to local public security authority.

    The accident happened at about 7:00 a.m. when the bus had a head-on collision with a truck and fell more than 10 meters into the Pengxi reservoir in Taishun County, Wenzhou City of Zhejiang Province.

    More than 300 people helped rescuers to pull the bus from the water.

    Investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
