    BEIJING, Aug. 5 -- Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have denied reports that they are on the verge of splitting up.

    Rumors have been rife in recent months that the couple - who have been together for three years - are no longer making each other happy.

    They were reported to be on the brink of a calling it a day after Angelina threw a glass of wine in Brad's face when he said she was "immature."

    But a representative for the "Ocean's Eleven" actor told US magazine that the pair are still an item and accused journalists of "writing lies" to sell more magazines.

    Brad's friendship with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston and his dislike for Jolie's bossy nature have been reported as the cause of couple's "troubles."

    BEIJING, July 19 (Xinhuanet) -- "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" star Angelina Jolie threatened to dump Brad Pitt after discovering Pitt had taken their 14-month-old Shiloh for lunch with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston, media reported Thursday.

    Pitt and Aniston, who divorced two years ago, met at the latter's Malibu mansion for an "emotional" lunch last month, while Pitt was promoting "Ocean's Thirteen" in Los Angeles. Full story

Oscar-winning Jolie to take year off from work

    BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhuanet) -- U.S. movie star Angelina Jolie said she planned to take an entire year off from filmmaking to spend more time with her family in 2008, People magazine  reported on Tuesday.

    "We're getting work out of the way at the moment," said the 31-year-old actress, who had been shooting the thriller "Wanted" in Prague, Czech Republic.

    Jewelery-design and perfume company, Hors La Monde Corp., is naming its most recent fragrance Shiloh, but the Tomb Raider has got in touch with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to combat the plans. Full story

    BEIJING, March 18 -- Angelina Jolie has apologized for exposing her new son, Pax Thien Jolie, to the media frenzy that greeted them in Vietnam and has vowed to focus on her growing family and be a stay-at-home mom, according to a Vietnamese newspaper.

    "I will stay at home to help Pax adjust to his new life," Jolie told Friday's Ho Chi Minh City Law newspaper, according to a translation on the Associated Press.
