TAIYUAN, July 29 (Xinhua) -- The 19th Miss Model of the World international final contest will kick off from Dec. 8 to 12 in Yuncheng city of north China's Shanxi Province, according to sources with the organizing committee.

    An official of the event's organizing committee said at a press conference Sunday that they hoped Yuncheng city, the legendary city of China's civilization origin, will add glamour to the final contest.

    The contest made its debut in 1988 in Turkey. And this year's regional contests have already started.
