KABUL, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Three soldiers of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) were killed on Friday in Afghanistan, an ISAF statement said.
Two ISAF soldiers and one Afghan soldier were killed during fighting in eastern Afghanistan, the statement said, adding 13 ISAF soldiers were injured.
Meanwhile, an ISAF soldier was killed during an engagement with enemy fighters in southern Afghanistan.
In accordance with NATO policy, ISAF does not release a casualty's nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
The statement also did not say in which provinces the incidents occurred.
Due to rising Taliban violence, over 110 foreign soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan so far this year.
