BEIJING, July 11 (Xinhuanet) --  Actor Charlie Sheen is getting set to say 'I Do' for the third time after asking for Brooke Mueller's hand in marriage on a Costa Rican beach with a 500,000 U.S. dollar engagement ring.

    Sheen's first marriage, to Donna Peele, lasted about a year before their divorce in 1995. His divorce from second wife, Denise Richards, became official in November. He and Mueller were first spotted stepping out romantically in June 2006, when Sheen's rep confirmed the 29-year-old real estate investor was his girlfriend.

    Friends of the couple, who were introduced by actress Rebecca Gayheart at a Victoria's Secret party in 2006, weren't surprised by the news.

    "The two bring out the best in each other. Brooke is a good influence on him," US Weekly quoted a pal, as saying.

    And Sheen need not worry how his two young daughters Sam and Rosa will get along with her, for they are not only comfortable with Mueller, but so is Richards.

    Richards and Mueller recently showed that there was no bad blood between them when they went on a shopping spree together where they "bonded Charlie and Sam."

    The 41-year-old Sheen was nominated for an Emmy last year for his role as womanizing songwriter Charlie on CBS' "Two and a Half Men," currently TV's highest rated sitcom.
