JAKARTA, July 10 (Xinhua) -- A moderate earthquake with magnitude of 5.5
rocked eastern part of Indonesia on Tuesday, no report of casualty or damages,
according to Indonesia's Meteorology and Geophysics Agency.
The quake struck at 07: 46 local time (0046 GMT) with epicenter at 178 km
northwest Saumlaki town of Maluku province and 67 km under sea bed, said an
official of the agency.
Indonesia is laid at a vulnerable quake-hit zone so called the Pacific Ring
of Fire where two continental plates meet, causing frequent seismic and volcanic
movements.
