Kim: Nuke pledges must be honored
BEIJING, July 4 -- Kim Jong-il, the top leader of the
Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), yesterday urged the countries
involved in a pact committing Pyongyang to dismantling its nuclear program to

BEIJING, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Yang
Jiechi will meet with Kim Jong Il, top leader of the Democratic People's
Republic of Korea (DPRK), Tuesday afternoon, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said
Tuesday.
Spokesman Qin Gang told a regular press conference that
Yang, who is visiting the DPRK, held talks with DPRK Foreign Minister Pak Ui
Chun and met with Premier Kim Yong Il Tuesday morning, and will meet with Kim

PYONGYANG, July. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister
Yang Jiechi arrived in Pyongyang on Monday, starting a three-day visit to the
Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
Yang's DPRK counterpart, Pak Ui-chun, held a banquet

China calls for progress in Six-Party
nuclear talks
BEIJING, June 26 (Xinhua) -- China on Tuesday called on
the six parties to the Korean Peninsula nuclear talks to fulfill their
commitments and make further progress.
"The fund issue of the Democratic People's Republic
of Korea (DPRK) has finally been resolved and a new round of intense contacts
