President Hu says Hong Kong obtains
experience in implementing "one country, two
systems"
HONG KONG, July 1
(Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao said here Sunday that Hong Kong has
obtained much experience for the cause of "one country, two systems."
The president made the remarks while addressing a
gathering Marking the 10th Anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland
and the inauguration of the third government of the Hong Kong Special
Administrative Region.
President Hu vows to remain committed to "one country, two
systems" principle
HONG KONG, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao
said here Sunday that the central government will remain committed to the
principles of "one country, two systems," "Hong Kong people administering Hong
Kong" and a high degree of autonomy and will act in strict accordance with the
Basic Law.
The president made the remarks while addressing a
gathering marking the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland
and the inauguration of the Third government of the Hong Kong Special
Administrative Region (HKSAR).
President Hu: HK people fully capable
of managing HK well
HONG KONG, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's success over the
past 10 years shows that Hong Kong people are fully capable of managing Hong
Kong well and sustaining its growth, said Chinese President Hu Jintao here on
Sunday.
At the gathering marking the 10th anniversary of Hong
Kong's return to China and the inauguration of the third-term government of the
Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Hu said that during the past
decade, Hong Kong has maintained its capitalist system and way of life and fully
exercised executive, legislative and independent judicial power, including the
power of final adjudication as mandated by the Basic Law.
