JAKARTA, June 25 (Xinhua) -- A moderate earthquake with magnitude of 5.1 rocked eastern part of Indonesia on Monday, but there were no reports of casualty or damages, the Indonesian Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said.
The quake struck at 07:47 Jakarta time (0047 GMT) with epicenter at 161 kilometers northwest Sanana town of Maluku province and at 58 kilometers under seabed, said an official of the agency.
Indonesia is laid on a vulnerable quake-hit zone so called "the Pacific Ring of Fire," where two continental plates meet, causing frequent seismic and volcanic movements.
