BEIJING, June 13 (CEIS) - China's oil and gas pipeline industry is stepping into its heyday as at least seven oil and gas pipelines kicked off construction or came on stream recently.
In northeast China, PetroChina's Daqing-Qiqihar gas pipeline, with a length of 148.8 kilometers, just started construction recently. It is projected to start operation at the end of this year.
In the northwest, China Gas recently announced to invest in Inner Mongolia Natural Gas Long Transportation Construction Company for a 65 percent equity and for the company's fifth long-distance natural gas pipeline, which will be constructed this June with the first phase investment of 400 million yuan.
In South China, Sinopec's project, so called Zhuahai Tangjia Oil Tank pipeline, has passed through examination, signaling the Pearl River Delta pipeline projects are fully completed. The Pearl River Delta Pipelines, 1,100 kilometers long, interrelate Guangdong province's refineries and oil tanks.
In the west, the Sebei-Ge'ermu natural gas pipeline II, measuring 177.25 kilometers, was put into operation last month, able to annually transport 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
In central China, the Sichuan-East China pipeline project was kicked off recently. The pipeline, spanning 1,700 kilometers, will run from Sichuan to Shanghai.
PetroChina's Yumen Measurement Center came on stream in May, suggesting that Yumen Refinery's oil products were able to inject into the artery of western oil product pipelines.
Besides, PetroChina's Dagang-Zaozhuang oil product pipeline recently started its trail operation.
The second West-to-East Natural Gas Pipeline is on the way of feasibility study.
Abroad, PetroChina announced to establish a 360-kilometer crude oil pipeline for U.E.A.
