French film panorama arrives in Shanghai May 1

    BEIJING, June 12 -- The French Film Panorama is bringing the latest French hit films to Shanghai for the May Golden Week. A French feast of 11 films and 12 shorts will screen in local cinemas May 1 through 4.

    Organized by the State Administration of Radio, Film & Television, UniFrance, and Centre Culturel Francais, the 4th French Film Panorama will begin touring China on April 26 with stops in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Nanjing.

    Shanghai residents have already experienced the unique charm of French cinema during the past three French Film Panoramas, and are expecting even great things for this year¡¯s event. All the films will be top selling French movies from the past two years. They cover a wide selection of genres, from romance, comedy, and historical drama to animation, musical, horror, and documentary.

    As part of the 10th Shanghai International Film Festival, the French Film Panorama Shanghai is a perfect match for the SIFF theme: to taste film and enjoy life.    

    Tickets will go on sale April 15 for screenings at Shanghai Film Art Center, Studio City Cinema, Cathay Theatre, Wanda International Cinema and Stellar Cinema. Ticket reserving is accepted on Hotcinema.com and EAST TICKET since April 10.    

    The French Film Panorama Shanghai is hosted by the French Consulate General Shanghai, Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film & TV and Shanghai Media and Entertainment Co. Ltd (SMEC).
