BANGKOK, June 12 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra will end his exile and return home soon without having to ask permission from the military, his spokesman Noppadon Patama said Tuesday.
Ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra may return to Thailand to fight before the court orders after his assets are frozen by Assets Examination Committee (AEC), Thaksin's family lawyer and spokesman Noppadon Pattama said in Bangkok.
"He hasn't received fair treatment," Noppadon told local media reporters. "He has decided to return earlier to engage in political fights."
Noppadon said the arrival time and date of Thaksin's return should be known in a couple of days, adding that he will not ask for permission from Council for National Security (CNS) for the return.
He said that Thaksin has ordered him to form a team of lawyers to fight and sue civil and criminal cases against the AEC. The team is drafting a complaint, which is expected to be completed within this week.
