BANGKOK, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's Council for National Security (CNS)
Chairman Sonthi Boonyaratkalin on Friday denied that the CNS has sent soldiers
to trail core leaders of the dissolved Thai Rak Thai party, saying it has no
policy to do so.
Earlier, former deputy party leader Sudarat Keyuraphan claimed that she has
been followed by mysterious men. She has reported the details to the police and
planned to meet acting police chief Seripisuth Temiyavej on Friday to discuss
the matter.
However, Sonthi was quoted by the Bangkok Post Web news as saying that the
CNS has never involved in such mission.
Meanwhile, Sonthi also called on people not to join any rallies in order to
create peace in the country as a huge demonstration was reportedly to be held in
Bangkok Saturday and Sunday.
